We're seeking an amazingly talented Systems Engineer (Cyber) to join the fight. In this role you'll get to support the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy (ASD Cyber), the Deputy Principal Cyber Advisor (DPCA), and U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM)—providing technical analysis, capability integration, and program management support that advances cyber capability development and acquisition initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
- You will support the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy (ASW Cyber), the Deputy Principal Cyber Advisor (DPCA), and U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) by providing technical analysis, capability integration, and program management support to advance cyber capability development and acquisition initiatives.
- Provide technical and analytical support to USCYBERCOM's Capabilities Integration and Development System (CCIDS), the Command Acquisition Executive (CAE), and capability development and acquisition processes.
- Conduct capability analyses by evaluating emerging technologies and mapping solutions to Principal Cyber Advisor (PCA) requirements, developing recommendations that support senior leadership decision-making.
- Perform technical assessments of capability documentation—including Initial Capability Documents (ICDs), Capability Needs Statements (CNS), and other requirements and acquisition artifacts—to support capability development and investment decisions.
- Support the development, drafting, staffing, coordination, and approval of industry engagement activities that advance ASD Cyber and USCYBERCOM capability development efforts.
- Engage directly with industry, academia, federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs), and other non-governmental organizations to identify state-of-the-art and emerging cyber capabilities supporting DoD priorities.
- Plan, orchestrate, and provide logistics support for quarterly Industry Days, technology exchanges, workshops, and other engagement events on behalf of ASD Cyber, DPCA, and USCYBERCOM to foster strategic partnerships.
- Prepare executive correspondence, meeting requests, read-ahead packages, briefing materials, and meeting readouts in support of senior leader engagements.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance knowledge management tools and tracking mechanisms for the Capability Integration (C&I) team to monitor industry engagements, capability development initiatives, and partnership activities.
- Monitor industry events, trade shows, conferences, and technology forums, recommending participation opportunities that increase awareness of emerging technologies and strengthen collaboration across government and industry.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate capability development activities, support acquisition planning, and provide technical advice that enables informed decisions on future cyber capabilities.
What You Bring to the Fight
- Active Department of War (DoW) Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited university with 12 years of experience, OR an MS in STEM with 10 years of professional experience providing technical and analytical support.
- 5 years of experience serving as a U.S. Government (USG) civilian or military member.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience engaging stakeholders across government and the private sector to identify, evaluate, and advance emerging technology solutions supporting the warfighter—preferably with a focus on cyber capabilities.
- Experience supporting or building USG-industry coalitions to foster collaboration, information sharing, technology innovation, and development of mission-focused capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining partnerships among government organizations, industry partners, academia, and other external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with existing DoW-private sector partnership models and initiatives that support emerging technology development and cyber capability advancement.
